Heat Shield Aggregate: CERASAND-HC
Temperatures in urban areas have risen in recent years due to the heat-island effect. We have developed ceramic aggregate CERASAND-HC able to prevent increases in pavement temperatures in summer. HC readily reflects sunlight, minimizing absorption and accumulation of heat energy in the pavement by using special materials having a high index of reflection.

Noise Absorption Aggregate; CERAVENT
CERAVENT is produced by uniformly combining spherical ceramic grains. A continuously alternating structure of wide and narrow airspaces permits air permeability in the aggregate. The structure absorbs noise by damping due to friction between the inner walls of the airspaces. These characteristics can be applied in absorption of odors, or gases, through catalytic action. CERAVENT can also be employed as a biological filter in clarification of water.
